Eggless Choco Lava

Dessert is mostly referred to a final sweet course that concludes a meal, but those with a serious sweet tooth will agree that anytime is dessert time. One such dessert is Choco Lava. It needs no introductions, it loved by everyone and this egg less recipe of the same will help you easily make it at home. The array of ingredients that you can use to prepare these decadent delights gives you plenty of room for innovation and variety.

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR (MAIDA)
1/2 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
5 TBSP COCOA POWDER
1/4 TSP BAKING POWDER
140 GM DARK CHOCOLATE (CHOPPED)
1/4 CUP BUTTER
1/3 CUP CONDENSED MILK
1/2 CUP WATER

Method:

Preheat cooker with salt in the bottom and put wire stand on top for 10 mins.

In a bowl , add all purpose flour( maida), sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and mix everything well.

In a double boiler, add dark chocolate & butter and melt it. Keep it aside.

Take Condensed milk in a bowl and add 1/2 cup warm water and mix well.

Add condensed milk and melted chocolate butter mixture to the dry ingredients.

Divide the batter into equal portions (according to the mould size). Greece the moulds properly and fill it with batter.

In the preheated cooker, add the moulds and bake the batter for 8 -20 mins depending on the mould size. After 8 mins , keep a check as soon as the top sets, the lava cake is ready.

Let the cake stand for a minute before serving.

You Choco Lava Cake is ready to be served. You can serve it with vanilla ice cream , whipped cream or cherries.

To bake in microwave:

Preheat the microwave in convection mode for 10 mins and then bake for 8-12 mins @ 180 degree depending on the size of the mould. When the above layer of choco lava is set, the cake s ready to be consumed.

Extra Info:

  • Do not over cook the batter.
  • Check the batter after every minute after 8 mins. As soon as the top sets,the cake is ready to be served.
  • You can even keep the batter in frozen state for 7 days. To do that cover the batter with the cling wrap and keep it in the freezer for a week like shown in the image below.
